The Broken Ruler

Here's the story behind this random picture...
I brought home some papers to grade yesterday along with a ruler. I never looked at them, bit at least I had good intentions. This morning I gathered my things and found my ruler -broken- laying under the papers. I went to Paisley with it in my hand and her face fell. :(
Me: Paisley, what do you know about this broken ruler?

Paisley: Weeeelllllll, I was watching The Wizard of Oz a long, long time ago (or last night) and my foot hit it and it broke--granted this is a thick, heavy duty ruler that is difficult to break which is why we purchased them for my third graders ;-). I tried really, really hard to put it back together. I couldn't get it to stay so I just hid it from you. Sorry momma.

Me: As I tried so very hard not to laugh (and I didn't) I explained to her that it was wrong, it belongs to the school, my kids now won't have a ruler to use, blah, blah, blah.

I fear this spunky young lady will hide things and test us for many years to come.

New Look

The blog got a makeover tonight, but is still a work in progress. Just ignore the header picture for now. One of my most favorite-est things to do when I have time is customize this blog, so just bear with me.

Hoppy Easter

  Saturday morning we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at church. It was indoors because of all the rain. Paisley had fun playing games and racing around to find eggs. Beckett was happy as could be just riding in the stroller...have I said lately what a GOOD baby he is!?!?!

Saturday night we dyed some gorgeous Easter eggs. We didn't do too many, but Paisley had a blast!

Beckett's First Haircut

After 3 haircuts from neurosurgeons, he was in need of a little shape up. Now it can be spiked!

Oh this boy of ours is so close to crawling. I feel like I've been saying this for a while though. He is still have physical therapy once per week. He is scooting and moving around. He will work pretty hard to get to whatever he wants, but then other times is a little lazy. One leg gets caught under his tummy and then he just sits back up. We are still working all the time! Luckily right now he is extremely content to sit on the floor and play with toys.

Oh handsome little boy, you are growing up so quickly. This is our glimpse into the future I believe.

Picture Rewind

So, it's been only a few days since my last post, but I have so many pictures that I'm just gonna throw 'em all in one big post. 

Saint Patrick's Day cuties

Doing some WALKING with Daddy. Beckett thinks he's so big when we do this with him. I'm just very thankful he's using those muscles!

Practicing the crawling position. We are getting closer!

We went on a little overnight trip this weekend to Lexington, KY (about 2 hours from our house). My Spring Break is this week, so it was nice to get away for a couple of days to do some shopping!

Hotel bathtubs are so much fun!

Gigantic book store = one happy little girl! Joseph-Beth Booksellers is awesome!

Beckett became a little interested in a sippy cup. He has had no interest at all! I gave it to him yesterday, and he actually took a few drinks. We'll see if it lasts!

My best friend Autumn and her kiddos, Christian and Kylie came over to play today! They had a great time playing together!!!

Beckett also decided he would try one of Kylie's snacks. Any food other than baby food or cereal we have given Beckett has been a nightmare. He gags. He spits. He shakes all over. I guess he decided he's ready to grow up a little this week. Veggie straws...he ate at least three. Baby Mum Mum rice snacks...at an entire one (still gagged with almost every bite, but he got through it). We'll keep trying new things!
