Where did Saturday go?!?!?!

Saturday was a rough day for Mr. Beckett. The anesthesia from Thursday afternoon's surgery finally all wore off and he was for sure feeling the pain. We had many episodes of full blown screaming to the point of sweat dripping off of him. The pain medicine is helping, its just getting it in fast enough when he starts crying that is the difficult part. Poor baby. Because of the sweating, we had to change his blankets out. Our nurse on Saturday was wonderful and let us play a big part in his care. We even got to "hold him" while she changed out the blankets.

We were a little bit more than terrified to do this because he seems so fragile and he couldn't touch his head and his spine had to be completely straight and we couldn't raise him too high and HE WAS SCREAMING. But, we got to HOLD OUR BABY!!!!!

After all that stress he needed to relax a little with a nice cool "bath" from Momma.

And then a bottle (of MY milk)!

Paisley has been here to see us each day, but only for brief amounts of time. Tonight it worked out for her to be here a little longer and we actually got to go down to the cafeteria for a meal together with Nana, Pop, and Ol' Mamaw. It was good to spend some extra time with her, BUT I had only a small break down after she left with Nana and Pop for the evening. We are ALL ready to be home tonight and sleep at "home-uh"!!!!!!

Looking at pictures of "my Beckett"

Relaxing with Daddy in my room. Paci and all of her "Lillies" were necessary to calm this exhausted, cranky, spoiled rotten by too many family and friends this week, 2 1/2 year old.

All is right in the world when it ends with a Goodnight Kiss!

Oh that last picture just melts me! I have a few just like it I know! So sweet - so sorry he was upset (and it won't be the last crying fit with a newborn) but I'm glad he's feeling better - the sad times never last forever. Thank you for updating! Happy 4th of July!
